Pictured below is the main layout of an Ampro 2000 projector. Different versions of the Ampro 2000 exist, with the primary differences seen in the changes of the registration/convergence boards in the set.

Many other revisions were made between the various versions, and many boards are not compatible between the versions.

The key to repairing and troubleshooting Ampro projectors is getting the correct circuit board numbers. These are the 5 digit numbers stamped on the front or back of each board, usually along with a revision number after the 5 digit number. In the case of the main CPU board, the software may be different between boards, even though the PC board number matches. This makes some areas of the Ampro difficult to troubleshoot.

On the positive side, the Ampros are very modular, and with good ventilation, are good reliable units.
