From the article:
The pictures are sharp, the colours are vibrant and, with its 1000:1 contrast range, the image starts to look more cinematic than electronic.
????????

And if you try to search for reviews of Electrohome CRT pj's forget it. They only have Barco, Ellie`, RCF, Seleco, and Sony listed in the drop down.

Not sure you can use "still" in reference to this article. It is 7.5 years old!

Boy, those HomeCinema guys are a bunch of wimps. The reviewer guy was saying that no user would ever be able to set up a CRT projector, and he was terrified of even changing the blanking. WTF? Christ, I figured out the raw basics on an 808 in a few hours; given that these guys were calibrating for VHS or DVD at best getting the setup 90% is about as daunting as lining up the image on your CRT computer monitor.
I wish people wouldn't let themselves be so easily intimidated... it's really ridiculous.

The nice thing about getting my first Sony was the fact there was no one there to stupidvise. Not even the little voices in my head

'course, he hadn't picked the thing up for 10% of the original value, and he (probably) had to return it in good condition or face some serious consequences. I do think he was overstating his case with the "no user ever" thing but I can understand him being a little intimidated .. then again, maybe he should be used to messing with $20,000 equipment.
