I'm quite new to Marquees, but read here and at AVS avidly, and don't remember anybody ever mentioning one of these.
This one was on the 9501 I picked up in that giant RP chassis.

I've got the manual for this... it was on the floor of the big RP chassis. Kal, I can scan if needed.

Hello
Shift function is of little use since video changes all the time at points on the screen. Move the jumpers to Disable and treat it like the 01 input.

What about the station logos on your favorite sports channels, or if you fall asleep with a static image,
Would it be of any benefit then ?

Yes
Whenever I watch anything with static images in it I use the pic orbiting on my G70, if you ever game on your projector it is good to have on.
