My Sony projector has been shuting down after start up and on the error display screen it very quickly flashes 13 - 80 - then it sits at 20.
There are two fans under neath which were spinning and one to the side which was also spinning.
The unit looks a bit dusty around the fans etc.
Does anyone know what this error refers to?
Cheers, Mark.

It flashes 13, then 80 for about half a sec and then sits at 20.
Putting the 80 aside, what does the 13 mean. I also have the error sheet,
but is there anyone who can explain in laymans terms what this error can more commonly refer too.
Ta.

There are two fans on the back of the power supply that need to be checked to see if they power up. they are located under the lenses in the PS. I would pull the center lens off to allow access to the fans. There are four phillips screws holding it in place. You may have to stick your finger in the fan to tell if it is spinning up when the PJ powers on. If one of them is not working that is most likely the problem.
