I've owned a 1208 for about 6 or 7 years now. I've had no real problems with it. This weekend, the screen went blank and I could not get the tubes to fire up at all. I sent out a post to AVS for help with no responses. But I got a PM from another Barco 1208 owner I had helped setup 5 years ago or so. He had moved onto a digital projector (Ruby) and donated his old 1208 to the cause - awesome! So after a day of swapping parts and a few phone calls with Curt, I was able to get to the bottom of it late last night. It was the Quadrupler box. As Curt warned me, it was a real pain to swap out. But I did and lo-and-behold the projector is alive again.

Now I have a second 1208 for spare parts. I guess this will keep me in the CRT world for a few more years. I just wish I had room to store it Smile I just found this forum and I already have some questions that I will save for a different thread.

Thanks Curt!

Chris
