Guys!
My hosting outfit hit the wall with no warning......
"Dear OnSmart Network Customer, Due to the difficulty in web hosting industry, we decided to close our business in March, 2008. In order to help our customers to transfer out to other web hosting provider. We have open a temporary help desk at http://help.onsmart.net/center/contact to keep track each transfer issue. Sorry for the inconvenience. Jacky OnSmart Network htttp://www.onsmart.net/"
I will announce if/when we are re-established on a new server.

You had the best web-site for marquee PJ's bar none and a lot of usefull tech articles.
IF you decide to not bring it back up, I hope Kal can at least import some of those files here.

I would like to second the notion, Tim has a great site and it has been
an invaluable resource during my transition to the 9500Ultra. Thanks
for your efforts and good luck with getting it up and running soon!

Hope you get your site up and running soon Tim!!
Lots of good setup tips, and documents that I am sure took a lot of effort to put together.
Between your site and Curt's, us Marquee guys are well looked after.

Hey, Tim -
Assuming you have the site backed up somewhere, somebody like Kal or me can put a site back up in a day or less. What's making it take until the end of the month? Having your site down for a couple of weeks seems like a pretty serious business interruption! I'd have to think you get a lot of inquiries and leads, and that a lot of your existing and future customers frequent your site.
If it would help, I could host your site - even if only temporarily until you found a new permanent home.

How much bandwidth do you do in a month Tim? Any special requirements?
I recommend you stay away from 1and1.com. They're cheap, and when things work they go well. When you have problems however that are their fault, you're completely ignored.
We're at ATCIhosting.com now. Plans start at $10/month and these guys really know their stuff. They don't oversell which is why they're more expensive.
For example, for $10/month at ATCIhosting.com you get:
30GB Monthly Transfer
2,000MB Disk Space
At 1and1.com for $2/month you get:
300GB Monthly Transfer (10 times as much!)
10,000MB Disk Space (5 times as much!)
Gee, I wonder what has to give on the 1and1 side... They're giving you 5-10 times as much "stuff" for 1/5 the price.
It's also a crock and general overselling. If you do anywhere near a fraction the 300Gb of transfer/month that they allow you at 1and1, they'll tell you that you're overloading the shared server and that you need to move to a dedicated box at $100+. Completely deceptive. Most dishonest hosts advertise this way. You go through a few to learn the ropes and then learn better.
Kal

I have a dozen or so sites at Dreamhost, but they're all low-bandwidth low-traffic sites. It's great for hosting fun stuff, hobby stuff, play stuff, testing, etc. For anything mission critical though, I'd use a more full-service host like what Kal is talking about with a more full-service support staff, a more appropriate price structure, and not stacked so deep (more realistic limits). $10/month for 30 gigs/2 gigs is realistic and reasonable. The budget hosts with giant limits for super-cheap prices are just that - budget hosts. Ya get whatcha pay fur!!!

Yup. 1and1 support is all offshore and useless. ATCIhosting support is all in north america and are competent techs. The person you talk to is the tech doing the work. Not someone being paid $2/day to answer phones in the Phillippines.
That being said, I was willing to accept crap service from 1and1, but the server we were on kept having outages. Even after they completely changed our server.

Guys!
The E-Tech site is back up today for reasons unknown, http://www.etechvideo.com/home.htm , I am undecided whether to invest in relocating it.

IT's nice to see it back up, hopefully it's not a temporary situation. Tim if you do get it back up, put up a link where people can kick in a few bucks via PP to cover costs.

Guys!
We are transitioning to another host, this is being handled by ecrabb in the next few days, so we should be in good shape when finished.
