Is this difficult or expensive to fix? Otherwise it's working.

Check all the connections and cable to the controller. Make sure the removable eproms are well seated. Can you provide a screen shot ?

No, i know of a pj that is for sale with that fault. Know nothing else then green tube has some wear.
