I just received this from Amazon...
| Quote: | | When January rolls around we movie editors usually have a few topics we like to cover: awards nominees, romantic movies--you know--the hard news. However, for HD DVD fans one recent development has overshadowed all others: Warner Bros.' announcement that they will no longer produce HD DVDs after May 2008. You can read our blog post on this topic for more details and see a list of Warner Bros. titles that are currently available on HD DVD. For the no-holds-barred discussion of all things HD DVD, our customer discussion forums are the place to go. (Visit our High-Def 101 knowledge center to see related discussions.) Meanwhile, we'll continue to offer a full selection of all titles available in both formats and let customers choose the format that's right for them. --The Amazon High-Def Team |
They are definitely taking the proactive approach to all of this. It seems they are pro competition in the HDM front but it probably just is them looking out for more potential sales.
For a second today I thought I was screwed when Wolworth's decided to stop selling HD DVD's Now I feel much better. lol

On the other hand, there's that diphead that runs The Digital Bits (Bill Hunt) who just announced he will no longer accept advertising promoting HD-DVD players or software.

I did find it amusing that in my last shipment from Amazon, which contained nothing but Blu-ray movies, was a flyer for the Toshiba HD DVD player.
