|
|
I had setup the 1271q for my son's soccer coach over the weekend. With the standard S video connection I had no issues. To show him the difference with a higher resolution input I connected my laptop and I had the following focus issue. I was not able to get the red or blue to lineup with green on the cross hatch pattern. Both would get very close but then I would get the overflow error. I could not figure out how to either move or reset the green pattern. Also, I ran a cable over to their satellite box and connected that into the video input. Should I not be able to push the "video" button on the keypad to toggle between s-video and the video input?
Thanks
Dan

When there is s-video connected to the 1271 it will not switch between the two. You have to pull the s-vid connector to get it to switch to the composite input. It baffled me for a day til I read the book.

The red/blue problem sounds like your toe-in isn't set correctly - but, then that wouldn't explain why you could use the S-video without a problem. When you did setup with no external signal (you did do setup with no source connected, right?), did you save registration data to all memory blocks? It's a pain in the ass if you didn't.
jkruger is right - you can't toggle between composite and s-video on the 12xx - I think it's only one or the other.

Do go back to your S-video setup and push and hold the memory key. Save for all resolutions or whatever that menu says (sorry can't remember )This will get you close.
