I am trying to track down a remote to set a nec PG-6200 up . All I have seen is a SR-1240A remote (service remote)
available to buy but I have no idea if it would work. Does anyone know if it would?

I don't think that is the correct remote at all, it should be a number like RC-6321, RC-6xxx.
If you have a Pronto remote, there is an NEC PG/XG file on www.remotecentral.com available that I know works as I've used it many times...

NEC setup remotes are more difficult to find than the projectors themselves...btw.

Get yourself a RC-6051 or a GE FFREM10.

Yes it does. Has one extra button called 'address' but you wont use it. Other then that they are the same as the 6051. Doug

Juv, You have the wrong remote. The 6PG needs the RC6011 or pincushion will be selected. The 6011 remote has the normal button to the right of the store button. There is no button to the right of the store button on the 6321.

Dentdiz, The SR-1240A is for the NEC DP series.

Id suggest each of you download the manuals and read over then. It will show what remote (with pictures) goes with your projectors.
Also look at the layouts of the buttons so you have a general idea.

PG 6-9000 RC6011
PG 6-9100 and 6-9200 use RC6051
XG all use RC6321

The RC6051 and RC6321 are basically the same except the 6321 has one extra button called 'address' you wont use. Doug
