Online petitions are usually pretty useless, certainly for these type of things that are mostly decided by big multi-nationals and not by the consumer. But it's still interesting to see if the HD DVD format is really 'people's choice':
| Quote: | | So please, sign this petition, and lets get as many votes as we can so we can hopefully change Warner's mind to return to being format neutral, or go HD-DVD exclusive. This would also show the remaining HD-DVD exclusive studios, Universal & Paramount, that HD-DVD still has supporters, thus they shouldn't switch to Blu-Ray. We have a chance to save a superior format from collapsing under the weight of the greedy Sony corporation and its inferior Blu-Ray format, let's do it! |

I was number 26,408. Only takes a minute to show your support

Haha, now that's funny... where's the "Let Blu-Ray Die" petition?
I'm not really a fanboy, I buy both formats in bulk, I just like cheap HD players and region free. I'd be happy if BD made those changes.

Looks like the latest sales figures were a bit misleading. We'll have to wait and see what the player price-cuts yield for HD DVD.

C'mon now. You know that's a completely illogical conclusion.
HD-DVD fans care if HD-DVD dies a lot as it affects their investment very closely.
Blu-ray fans don't obviously care as much if HD-DVD dies as it doesn't affect their investment directly.
Hence the difference in the voting numbers.

27,504 now. Format neutral but hope Warner and other studios listen. Still prefer HD DVD

I read somewhere that a lot of the signatures may be fake.
Personally, I am hoping for Xstream to become a reality and end this debate.

Someone pleaes poke holes in that from the BluRay side, because it reflects what I think a lot of people feel.
