Yesterday I was given a dead BD808S with lido. Tubes have been replace a year and a half ago, it stopped working shortly after... The previous owner wanted to trash the barco and has replaced with a Sony DLP Smile
They agreed on me taking it home, so I'm pretty happy!

So far I have connected my oppo to port 4/5 using a DVI to RGBHV converter (which I normally use on my 1251).

Yesterday; after powering it up, it started with a red led on R7622686, the Sync + Vertical Deflection board.
I took out the board to google the partnumber and re-seated it. Status leds: Stdby, main power & Process cycle light up. No image so far...

Read & printed at work: http://www.curtpalme.com/Troubleshooting_Tips_Barco1.shtm

Today it starts without the red sync led. After pushing some buttons a bit on the remote the "match block" led lit up.
Turned it of and re-seated all boards. Nothing changed after turning it on again.

Tips are welcome while I re-read the troubleshooting tips Smile

On R762719 - RGB switcher board - mine looks different than http://www.curtpalme.com/Barco808_Layout4.shtm -> I have 8 leds:

HDTV stays off
C.VID, RGB, RGSB on (green)
S.VID, VID, PORT3 off
Mu(t? the rest of the text is under the mounting thingy) red on

The red led on the Vsync board is back.

Oh I'm not sure if its the fan near the SMPS that makes a dry hissing noise or if it's the SMPS that hisses?

Check the lights on the G2 board and the EHT board. Are either red lights on?

Just found 2 points of concern Smile

1 bent pin on the SMPS and cracked soldering on the EHT.

That does not look like a stock BArco part. I think your problem is HV related, not video related.
