i built a cable from the pinout provided on here. i havent had time to mess with it yet but what type of controls is it going to give me? will it just control the inputs or what? just curious as i havent hooked up a pc yet. have all next week off so i think ill knock it out soon Wink

if the PG software has the same controls as the PG Plus and PG Xtra software it will give you everything but point convergence

not really. I used the PC Control Software to set up my PG Plus for about 1.5 years, and then bought the remote. It's way more intuitive and way faster with the remote.

The main benefit is being able to walk up to the screen.

I tried making the cable for my Runco 900. Never did get it to run. Ended up buying the remote.
