I've got a Barco Retroblock that I'm using for my rear projection setup. Rather than using the stacks of books it currently sits on, I'd like to build a stand to get the throw distance right. Does anyone have pictures of how the projector mounts in a barco retro cabinet? There are keyhole slots in the sides of the chassis but I have a hard time believing that those two points can support it. I attached a pic below.
Better yet, if anyone is scrapping an 808 retro cabinet, I'd be interested in the mounting hardware.

Aluminum, relatively inexpensive, VERY strong, and extremely flexible (full-length T slots for T nits mean pretty much infinite mounting positions.)

I wonder if page 2 in this document would help at all. Let us hope so 
Edit: I think there is just a bolt or something in both sides. Otherwise it could not be possible to turn the projector to different positions like that.

Thanks for the link. It certainly looks like it mounts with a single bolt in each side. The only odd part is that they show the projector fully inverted. With a keyhole slot, I can't see how that would work with a simple bolt. That's why I'm trying get the original hardware or at least a picture of it.
I just got back from Lowes with a couple of 3/8" bolts. I'm going to try them in a plywood stand I'm in the process of building and see what happens. I'm thinking a few pillows underneath the barco might be a good idea just in case!
I was just checking the 8020 site out for mounting this beast. That stuff is almost too nice to be hidden behind my screen.

A close fitting shoulder bolt should allow 360 degree rotation, but would have to be fastened from the inside which would obviate the need of a keyhole slot...

Unless, it's not a keyhole slot at all but part of a more sophisticated pivot mechanism that fills the entire "keyhole" and uses the "key" portion of the slot as an anti-rotation feature. Imagine a plug that fills the entire shape, which is then attached to a separate pivot... release the plug from ITs pivot, spin the PJ to the various service orientations, spin back and lock in the display orientation.
I can imagine that the keyhole does exactly as it's intended to remove the whole unit, then a pin or boss fills in the 'key' to provide the anti-rotation.
Just random speculation from a frustrated almost-mechanical-engineer!
8020 is nice... we've had entire machines made from it. Anodized in a flat black it's damn spiffy for PJ mounting!

So... In the absence of the proper hardware I decided to get out the 2x4s and some 3/8" bolts. Pix below!
I even added some safety features: the darker colored lumber directly under the projector. I wasn't taking any chances that my brand new Barco might drop due to bolt failure. So far so good. I can't see any signs that the bolts are sagging. I was really surprised how well balanced the chassis was when I got it mounted. You barely have to touch it to rotate it.
Now, if I could only get some colored C-elements for the HD117-12's. Do those even exist?

I will be replacing my Retro (full cabinet) in the near future.
and I tossed 2 in the trash last year...

Let me know if you scrap it. At the very least I'd like to see Barco's mounting system looks like. What I've got now seems to work fine but I imagine the factory hardware is a little more stable than two generic bolts holding the sides and a couple drywall screws to prevent rotation.
