I'm rendering HD files for my HTPC captured on my Canon HV20. Detail can be found in this thread

Member "ecrabb' was helpful in eliminating hardware as the problem. Both VLC and Pinnacle play back the files but MediaPlayer 11, MCE2005, and Real Player can not.
What Codec or plugin is required to play back MP2 or MP4 HD files?
