As mentioned in another thread, (https://www.curtpalme.com/forum_archived/viewtopic.php@t=8161.html
I just got this pj. I saw it in operation before purchase and it throws a nice picture. The previous owner told me he never dismantled the lenses.
When I got it home, I took off the lenses. To my surprise, the tube faces were full of white spots. I thought this was fungus and it maybe that it is.
This pj had been ceiling mounted for the last 4 years. I turned it around and put it on a table before I took the lenses off. That is when I noticed all those spots. Today I took some pics. The crud seems to have settled and is less evident then yesterday. Some of it seems to be on the glass or plastic of the liquid chamber.

Is there an easy way to clean the chamber if it needs to be done? Will the procedure for cleaning AC tubes with CLR be the same as for this liquid chamber?

Can the C element lens be cleaned with something. A mix of alcohol and water or something else with a microfiber cloth?
There are a lot of dust specks, white spots and a big fingerprint on the outside of the glass.

I have been reading the All about lenses thread. I think my lenses are HD-10 but not sure. It is not identified on the lens itself. Anyone have a clue?.

Here are a few pictures to clarify things.

Chances are that you will never notice them white flakes when it is running. They look like either corrosion particles or some of the glycol crystallized.

The tubes look like they are in great shape.

Do you think I can take a chance and clean the C element glass with a rag to get rid of the flakes that are on the outside?

I use a real soft rag to clean mine.

No, try a blower brush like those used on camera's. Gently flick at the flecks. Test off to an edge first to make sure this won't scratch your C-element. They are about $300USD to replace.
