How do I get 16:9 test pattern on the nec xg?

Feed it a 16:9 test pattern from a DVD or PC.

The internal patterns are full raster sized, they overscan the screen completely.

Use the NEC test pattern generator. Google "NEC test pattern" It will generate a proper test pattern for 16:9.
