are there any HD-DVD players with analogue RGB out to connect projectors, or is this a dumb question? it would be nice.

None that I know of. It's easy enough to convert the HDMI or component outputs into RGB, but I very much doubt we will ever see an HD-DVD player with this capability.

didnt think so.. if i get a component video to RGB converter box... will that output HD video? same as the HDMI to RGB? but i guess i wouldn't benefit from the higher res. with these HD6 lenses i have on my ecp 4100.

The xbox 360 add-on can be connected to your projector with a VGA cable for resolutions up to 1080p. No 1080i though.

i think my PJ caps off at 1080i... don't think it will do PS. prob would be way to soft if it did. i highest res it can do is 1280x1024 i think.
but also, do upconverting dvd players and hddvd players work through the component video like it does with HDMI? then this transcoder box i bid on ebay would work for me. being that i have an LG upconverting dvd player..
i don't like console games so the xbox 360 would be a waste for me.
however i do have a standard xbox.. i think i can get an VGA cable for that? i forgot about that actually.

Just get an A3/D3 for about $175 and then the HDfury for about $150. That way you can then use an inexpensive HDMI switcher and feed additional sources down the line into the HDfury. I've got an HD DVD, Blu-ray, and PC connected through an HDMI switcher that then feeds into an HDfury for VGA output.
