Hi again!

After fixing it from sync problem before..
(I Did a reset and Source 0 1 Recall 0, this solved jumping picture)

But now i get not H Hold Auto to work, hot even from a VCR / Wii / DVD player.
From the HTPC i did expereins some faulty Nvidia drivers.
Went back to the ones that had working custom resolution working for the 8500GT card im using.

But still it dont sync whit H Hold Auto.. and when i press H Hold to switch from auto to manual i get diffrent
values ie 44,5 Khz becomes 50 Khz, or 48 Khz, never the same value.

When it does sync whit H Hold Manual, pictures gets lost after 30 - 40 mins.
All i see is that freq is changed suddenly, from 44 Khz (or what it syncs to on stable picture) to 58 Khz or higher.
And before it goes all bad the picture jumps and move from left to right.
This allso happens on VCR / Wii / DVD Source.

H Hols Auto was woking before and i was happy!!!

Did try to reset as before, no luck Sad Sad

Finaly (again) !! H Hold Auto Sync !!!

Reading http://www.curtpalme.com/ElectrohomeECP_Layout3.shtm

Note that the top board of this two board bias/focusing board has a long connector with purple wires going to it. Make sure if you take this connector off that you insert it correctly. Installing it with one pin off will cause all sorts of havoc within the set.

I cant belive it.. that dam purpel wire connector was tha fault all the time !!

Thanks again Curt for the information on the WEB !!

Guys,

I do have the same problem that I need to set manually under H Hold as well as V Hold.

Unfortunately, even after trying to clean the contacts & re-connect the purple wires, the problem still remain & unable to sync in Auto mode.

Still not too sure how to resolve the auto sync problem but will be glad if anyone could help on this!

Hi,

sry for using this thread for my problem, but i also do have a Sync Problem with my 4100.

I always got problems with my green tube, sometimes it starts flickering and did only shine a little bit, so the picture looks like the same as i shut down the green color.
I did servel things to fix this problem, but nothing changed it. I decided to do one last thing: Pull out all of the cards and pushed all the socketed ic's to make shure that they are connected correctly. After doing this and restart my crt, my picture is only scrabeled, i cant see nothing on it Sad When i pushed the H Sync button on the remote and switch from Auto to manual, the picture is ok for a second. As long as i switch between auto and manual H sync, all is ok but when i stop this, the picture is scrambeled(out of sync) again.

I thought that something is wrong with my horizontal prozessor board. But i also do have an old ecp 4000 and interchanged this board but error is still happening Sad Then i took the RGB input card from my old ecp 4000, but it also changed nothing.

Anyone got an idea what problem this can be?

Thanks for the help Smile

regards
Chris

Combine the H and V sync with a BNC T connector and you should be fine. NExt time start a new thread, you'll get more responses that way..Smile

Im just confused that this crt works well, except the problem with the green tube, for an year and i got this problem only since a week.

But i will try to get this T connector, right now i dont know what this is but i will find it out Smile

Oh, and it is not only the input picture, also when i press the internal test picture or the convergenz menu, all is scrabled.

Then do a hard reset of the CPU board, but a lack of syncing input signal can do that too.

green tube issue- probably a bad connection on the motherboard at the connector where the video cables go to. A PITA to repair..Sad

Seems that the reset did it for me, no Sync problem the last few times i switch on the crt.

Thanks for the tip.

Hopefully i get my other problem fixed too soon, seem this problem depends also on the brightness and contrast settings, so i adjusted it and will take a look if it gets better(no problem today with the new settings and i watched the complete bourne trilogy). But if the problem comes back, i will take a look at what u said to me, i got another ecp 4000 and can take parts from this crt to get one full functional on. Wink
