got new to me tubes for my barco 708
came from a dwin hd700 in much better shape than current tubes
which tube would be the best to start with?
should i set all controls to midpoint?

If I might editorialize though, it seems like a lot of work for a 700 series when there are a ton of good condition 808 Barcos for sale cheap, or even 1208,9s.

was removing silicone to remove old lead and the old silicone completly fills
boot and hole for lead to connect to tube point where i had to cut the boot to
get lead out.
can this cause lead to leak and arc?
leads were not like the ones on the origanal tube boot was much larger.
