I posted 3 clips of the 1292, 1 showing it stationary, 1 showing error codes, and 1 showing P/S running with some wiring disconnected.

Problem:
When "on" is pressed, the 1292 clicks, then reverts to error codes, no power (SOMETIMES ERROR CODES ARE 20/02). I have replaced the P/S, all boards on top of P/S, transistor on PC board (and PC board), PB board, all boards between the tubes, HV splitter, and ran extension cords from other outlets. No luck!!

Background:
I had this pj upstairs, thought I would be moving into a new house and put it in the garage. Turns out I did not move, but the pj worked fine inside of my garage. Then i moved it back upstairs, tried to power on, and it never worked again. I am not sure if something is out of place, or if the pj will never work again.

Synopsis:
The P/S will run if certain connector leads are disconnected, which leads me to believe that the P/S (which I now have 2) is okay. I now have 3 PA boards, and two of all above-mentioned electronic boards, none work. Tube shortage? I disconnected each tube from HV splitter, 1 at a time, no luck!

I sure would hate to lose a 9"er, so maybe Curt can repair something. If the pj is, in fact, DEAD, i am okay with just moving on, but i sure did love the picture it produced!

It seems that clip 3 does not work, but it showed the P/S running.

BTW, the Sesame Street clips are for my kids, okay!! Mr. Green

Best to call Curt directly.

He can work wonders, even over the phone.

TV/Projector: All of them!

It sounds more like a bad solder connection than a bad part. THe last time I tried to repair a 'on but no video' problem on a 1292, I sent out all of the video boards in the set, and it turned out to be a bad ribbon cable.

I have never had a defective 1292 here in the shop, so unfortuntely I am not of much help here as to what is bad. You've already changed the boards that I would have. I would check ALL boards, including the video ones, as a bad connection there can shut the set into shutdown mode. I do have a working 1292 here that I can test any suspect boards in though.

I figured that there's not many boards left to check. I would still like for you to check them though, as a last resort. Too bad you won't be at CES this year, I could've had a house call. Mr. Green

Thanks, I'll PM you!
