|

This problem may be due to my newbie status with CRT's, but using my same setup (BNC 4) to my Barco 1208 that works with the old Moone box, see rolling black bars over most of the image. Is this just a convergence issue or is it related to the box?

Dear Satguy:
after you install the box, you need reconvergence the Barco,
how long cable you run? EXT-HD can drive long cable, too short cable may lead
to sharp edge between different color boundary.
any more problem, you can email to moome@seed.net.tw
thanks

1. Yes, I did get it resolved this evening. I adjusted the H Phase and now the geometry is correct. Overall, it seems to be an improvement in the picture, but I will try to do some more complete comparisons this weekend to the old Moone unit and post to the forum. Things I plan to compare would be the HDMI Vs Component and the old unit.
2. Moone: Thanks for such fast responses. I greatly appreciate that!

Moome, I have BNC external box ordered and I am in the process of ordering cables to hook it up my XG. In your last post in this thread you mentioned cable length.
quote "how long cable you run? EXT-HD can drive long cable, too short cable may lead
to sharp edge between different color boundary"
Are you saying that I should not use an RGBHV cable that is too short? if so what would the optimal length be? I was going to order the shortest BNC to BNC cable Bluejean makes. I thought the shorter the analoge cable the better, that's the reason for running the digital cable right up to the projector.
Thanks,
Larry

Larry:
sorry for my misleading of last thread, the cable length will play not much role for edge problem,
we found the main issue, can testing them now, so just make sure you use 75ohm cable.

Thanks, and Moome, my unit may be shipped already but if it's not, it would make sense to hold off until the issues are resolved but please let me know the status so I have an idea when to start watching the mailbox, Thanks again.
