I have had the worst two weeks I can remember. Almost everything I own is breaking. My new refrigerator went belly up twice while loaded with food. My wife got stuck out on the road in her Chevy Tahoe. The anti-theft option opted to fail and not allow her to start her own car and the dealer has not been able to fix it. Sometimes it will start and others ....well....not. Last week her anti-lock break system broke. My brother borrowed my pick-up and blew the front break line. In the last two weeks ,my PC has f'd up twice. This time the graphics card shorted and took out the ps. The battery in my riding mower dies. When I tried to charge it, my charger cought fire. I spent 8 hours in the emergency room hooked up to everything under the sun to see why I almost passed out on the job. No I was not drinking on the job. The good news is the doctor's said I'm neurologically in tact. (I know a few here will argue that finding) Now this ones for Pete.

Got to love that American product quality.
I have been chasing a frickin bad FM modulator in the minivan. Damn those kids get mean when they can not watch their meercat DVDs.
Chip - you are not allowed to expire before the AMPRO...... Take care.

I would say you need a vacation, but given the pattern that we see -air travel might be a bad idea!!
hope things get better soon.

I had also some problems last week. My crappy Ford went out constantly after few minutes drive and then dishwasher died. Now if nothing is breaking, I can start to repair my BARCO some day.

My Ampro 2000 I got back in November of 2004 has been fine for over a year. I watch 3 movies a week on it, and I let it warm up about 45 minutes (makes convergence a 10 second thing). Considering the problems I had out of it in the first year, I'd say that's pretty good. It's amazing what a good PS will fix. That first year I had it, I had all sorts of problems until the PS went *POP*. Curt sent me a new one, and it's been fine ever since. Shame that they didn't put a good PS in those. Hope mine lasts...my luck would be that I've just jinxed myself.
Anybody hooked a HD Fury up to an Ampro 2000? I have an upconverting Sony 5 disc, and I'm wondering if I should bother trying to use it above 480p.

Oh, man - I've had streaks like that. It's about that time I usually start to feel like going all Ted Kaczynski neo-luddite and getting rid of all the sh*t that seems to exist only to piss me off. It makes me want to just grab a suitcase full of clothes and go live in a cabin in Montana.
Soon thereafter though, the storm passes, and life goes back to normal with only the occasional "technology attack". I can handle them when they're like little insurgents... coming at me occasionally... that I can pick off one by one. It's when they get all organized and come at me all at once that it becomes a problem. That's when you take a day or two off work and get stuff back in order. Hammers are sometimes a good place to start.
