Hi there CRT-guru's and soon to be's.
After lurking around for some time here, i decided it was time for me to get a CRT.
A vph-1251 was bought, and i bought a supra 5BNC-cable. I allready had a HTPC, which i am using as the source.
Haveing a shortage of time, i didnt really ever get any further then putting it on a table and fooling around with it. I got some very (for me) ok images out of the projector this way.
Yesterday i decided it was time to mount it on the ceiling. So some friends and i got a mount and hung it on the ceiling. While connecting the projector to the mount we had to lay it on its back. This is the moment where i heard a crack. Thinking it was just the case that something happened to, we continued.
Before mounting it, i changed all the plugs on the DC and Eboard so that the image would be displayed properly.
Now though, the image is all distorted. Its flikkering, and i cant make out anything on the screen that would be the desktop of the htpc.
The crack seems to actually have been the case, since it was a bit loose after isntallation, and i could find no visual dammage anywhere.
I dont think my description of the problem is very usefull, so ill try and take some pictures tomorrow or so.
Anyone got any ideas of how to fix this? i want total blackness

I layed my 1271 on its back too but with no cracks!
Check for all connectors and check for damage on card. Reseat all cards.

Probably a noob question, but which cards would that be? Not all electrical boards in the projector i hope.
I've just checked all cable-connections visible with the hood removed, and that didnt solve it.

I think i have reduced the problem to two options: It's either the supra cable that has an internal break, or a board that handles the RGB connectors in the projector has been broken.
I came to this conclusion since i do get an image when i hook up a dvdplayer with a svhs cable.
Anyone have any ideas on how to check which of the 5 cables was broken, and how i could repair this? Thinking its one of the sync cables, since no steady viewable image appears on the screen.

Try pulling the RGBHV input board out of the projector, and then firmly reseat it. Might accomplish nothing, but then again it might just fix the problem.

Thanks for the help but ive found the sollution to this problem and its a very simple one: Dont connect the bnc connectors to the wrong connectors on the projector!! Very simple and stupid as you can read.
