People are debating in an area devoted to running 2.35:1 CIH on digitals - 2.35:1 CIH vs. not, and black bars here and there, and what the visual impact is of having 'full screen' even if it's not really bigger, how big you need, etc. Usual stuff.

This one guy, we'll call him Joe, says that he's been messing with CIH and when he switches away from his CRT that he's had for nine years he's definitely going to do CIH.

Then, a few posts later, Joe says something like, "...I keep watching 16:9 material on the 2.35 screen and contemplating the unlit bars on either side..."

So I reply, "Don't worry, Joe - if you're switching from CRT to digital, those bars won't be unlit for long!"

Just had to share. Mr. Green
