i was wondering if anybody could shed some light on doing a lc bg 808s conversion. I have the p16lnp tubes with the lc housings and i am thinking about trying to do this conversion. I have seen posts before about doing this but everybody gets sidetracked from the actual subject.

bbfarmht,
You can't use the HD-145 lenses with an LC conversion as they are AC lenses, however if you do get the 145's you will get improved focus, better colors, and possibly reduction in halo's

Zebu,
thanx but that still leaves me wondering what lenses to use and the other thing that I am not sure about is the way its mounted to the projector I keep reading that the lc mounts are in halves! if they are i would like to know what they look like so i can go to the cnc and try to make mounts to work..

HI,
I have a retro BG808s and I use HD117-24 they work perfectly the throwing distance is ca. 60cm shorter then HD8s(Screen width 2m).
You can not use the hd215 of an Zenith1200 I tryed it and it is not working.
