I just drove for 10 hours after a two-day marathon tradeshow run to help out a customer, during which I managed 48 hours on 45 minutes of sleep.
Ahem...
A CRT 'thusiast like all
decided to tint his own glycol.
The colors improved,
but his wife was unmoved:
it dripped on her dress during "Hard Ball".

hey Peri you gonna buy those BG808s tubes off flea-bay? probably a lot better than that leaky burnt one that dripped on your wife.

Hahah... I didn't actually *do* what's in the limerick. Worst I've done is stick some rosco filter in there...
Haven't checked fleabay recently, but I'll take a look. Theoretically I should have some better tubes arriving anyway, but hey, if there are actually reasonable tubes I could put together another 808s and stack 'em....

Darn you, r***r! Darn you to heck!
Outbid. Was getting a bit too rich for my blood, though, even if they are worth it. Didn't hit the reserve anyway, so who knows if the guy will let them go or not.
On the bright side it makes me even happier about the 7/10s that (crosses fingers) will be arriving soon!
Edit: I just looked at the related auctions. Some outfit is trying to sell an 808s red for $500! Reds aren't worth that much, are they? I'd think the world would be awash in them; even the red in my ToastyBarco is pretty much perfect.
