I'll pick it up and ship it if you pay for the PJ and whatever actual shipping costs are and buy me a beer next time we are both at the same bar......ray

Would make a neat cabinet/coffee table mount for a modern CRT.
35 years old and still works? WOW!

I agree... I've always like the original Sony coffee tables with the glass top... put a Lazy Boy recliner on each side and you'd have a great place to set a beer and the remote.
I doubt you could retrofit any other projector into that volume though... it's probably set up more like a retro/RPTV... more of a cubic shape.
High gain torus screen too... everything old is new again.

Yeah, somebody ought to jump on it for the screen. If it's anywhere near as good as the Kloss Novabeam screen, it would be a good find.

I would love to see one of these, but shipping is to expensive. Marshall gave me a tip for one close by last year, but the guy wanted $500 for the whole set up. After telling him he was pretty much crazy, some idiot ended up buying it. This always brings me back to my dilemma of taking advantage of people just because they don't know any better.

I went and actually looked at the unit...the people were very nice. The family was the original purchaser and noe the kids watch dvd's on it occasionally. Screen was in decent shape no major problems to the naked eye, but something was definately "off" with the picture quality. They said they have had no one but me even ask about the unit.

Did you get it? I was thinking it would be cool to have for the screen. I wish I had room for it in my living room.
Are you going to the HT meet here in SD?
Deron.

No I didn't buy it because nobody said they wanted it and I am SURE the wife would have killed me for putting that in the house. Email the lady though she is way cool and just really wants to get rid of it.
