I hadn't used my projector in a month. I went to turn on the projector and it won't power up. The standby light goes on but there is nothing (no electronic sound, the fan doesn't go on, no tubes light up, nothing) that happens when I press the power button either on the back of the unit or from the remote. The error code just shows 00. Using the remote doesn't register a light below the "remote" on the back.
I have a spare/parts pg. Where should I start? Thanks, Peter

I'm no expert but I recently posted here about a similar problem I was having with my XG75.
What seemed to work for me was to remove and reseat all the boards. The system board in particular seemed to be the cause of my problem. It wasnt throwing any codes and either just showed 00 on the back or would flash various garbage.
Hope this helps,
David

I NEED YOUR ADVICE!
Nec PG 9 not working! Shut down during use! 00 error code. Stays in standby mode.
Starting from standby, a faint sound "click" from the power supply as I turn it on, fans move but don't spin, red leds inside flash once, and the green power on lights up for a split second, then machine goes back to standby.
So far I've unplugged the c drive, and plugged it back in. Machine is on a nice surge protector. Also, tried with out the suge protector.
I hear a faint split second "click" sound from the power supply so I must assume this is my problem.
How to check the power supply with a volt meter?
Has any one else had this problem, any advice will help!
Jeremy

Unplug the C and F boards. Unplug the 3 pin connector on the deflection board. If that won't momentarily bring the set up, spin the fans and then possibly shut down, then I'd suspect the LVPS. I can repair that for you. Otherwise it's whatever board that you unplug that will bring the fans back to life.

After taking Curt's advice, I replaced the power supply. It's working again! Much thanks
