I came across this listing in monoprice as I was putting together an order.

http://www.monoprice.com/products/product.asp?c_id=101&cp_id=10110&cs_id=1011002&p_id=3728&seq=1&format=2

Anyone aware of nx2 HDMI switchers? This would be nice for those seeking a more consolidated source equipment setup.

It can smartly jump over those input sources which are not in work.

Hmm... I wonder if it's made in China?

Why wouldn't Monoprice fix stuff like that??!?

I ordered and received it. I have not been able to use it yet but the reports I read on it say it is very good. It is HDMI version 1.3a.

Well, let us know if you get two displays working from two different sources through this thing.

Did anybody ever get the chance to test the switcher in the mentioned in the op? Or, a 4x1 switcher?

I bought one and it works great. I'm only using one display right now but it seems to work really well. It auto switches to the active input.

If you only have one display, how do you know if really works well? Sorry, the the idea is to use multiple sources with multiple displays. Are you using it with something like PIP/POP?

FYI, pretty much EVERYTHING monoprice sells in the cable and HDMI/DVI space is made in China.

I know, Dave - I was being sarcastic (forgot the 'rolling eyes' emoticon). They've fixed it now, but back when I posted, the whole product description was some of the worst "Chinglish" I had ever seen. I was surprised that someone had obviously cut/pasted it in there. It would have been better if the person entering the product description had just typed "4x2 HDMI switch" instead of copy/pasting the garbage in.

Heck, you don't really have to qualify your statement with 'monoprice'. Sadly, you'd be just as accurate if just said "pretty much EVERYTHING is made in China."
