So recently, the picture on my Sony 1270 has gotten somewhat unstable. For example, if you go into the test grid, part of the lines for a color with start to swiggle around for a few seconds, and stop, and then start again at the same place or somewhere else. This happens for all colors. It happens on all inputs, regardless of whether somethings hooked up or not. I have a 1251 I can pull parts off of. I was thinking of replacing the DC and E boards. (horz and vert) Is this a good idea or should I try something else?

Thanks!

If you have a full raster and the raster is stable, only sections jumping around, its probably not a vert or horz problem, but a convergence problem. And maybe only a contact problem. Try cleaning connections and reseating things.

Yes, swap the boards. Try reseating the CPU boards and then swap the LVPS. I'm sure it's one of those things.
