I wanted to get some feedback on Graham's DVD. Also does this DVD have to be bought through Paypal? If so is there another way to buy it, as I will not use Paypal.

I'm redoing my setup so I though having Graham's DVD would help alot to give me new incites and refresh my memory.
Getting rid of my 161" curved 4 gain silver screen and going with a 159" High Power, going to lower the PJ down from the ceiling a little. The screen will probably get masked in at a smaller size. Should end up real nice.

Wow, finally dumping the silver paint, eh? Have you tried viewing a HP sample in a configuration similar to what you're planning? I was wowed by a friend's HP, but his G70 is floor-mounted. Your eyes are close to the tubes. My pj is mounted on a ~7'10" ceiling, so the lenses are about 36" above my eyes. In that configuration, the HP sample was no brighter than my cheezo blackout cloth screen!!! If I stood up -- whammo, the picture popped and was incredibly bright and vibrant. Sit down -- and it looked like the BO. Obviously I didn't buy the HP.
So make sure your eyes are as close as possible to the lenses. I'd test it real carefully before I'd invest in a big HP screen.

My pipe dream....
From what I've read Grahams setup DVD has alot of cross over that can be applied (if you squint) to Marquee's but it would be slicker than snot on a brass doorknob if somebody like the Scott's, Mike's or draganm's (lots more who could too!) had the time to produce a step-by-step for the 'Quees. Lots of Marquee owners out there. I think it would be pretty profitable for whoever made one.

The HP was quite interesting. I tried the sample I had to see how it would look at different areas of my screen. Along the middle it looked about 2+ gain, along the top and bottom it looked even brighter. It looked to hold that brightness to a 3 seat width. The brighter the image it was reflecting the brighter the sample looked. It was kinda weird, if the image was dark, the gain seemed to be less, if the image was bright the gain seemed to be more. My PJ lenses are 4' above my eyes. As soon as I would move my head up it would start to brighten up. I plan on dropping the PJ down at least a foot. and moving it forward a foot.
It's going to be interesting, but I think I can make a improvement over my old screen. My old screen had one flaw that I wanted to get rid of. I could never get the paint perfect and that would show up in uniform images. I will be reducing the size, it was real nice at 12 feet wide, but I think I will be happier with a slightly smaller screen. At the smaller size it will work better with my seating distance, the size of the room I have it in and should be a little sharper.
What got me interested in the HP was the reviews on it. The screen disappears, real bright and you can clean it, you do not need to curve the screen.
The only draw back I see is, the brighter you want the image the more the PJ will be in the way, I may end up sitting only inches under it. There is a plus side too have the PJ right there though, it's going to be alot easier to tweak, work on it and there will be less keystone.

Noisier too.  If you have it really only inches over your head, then the HP may work well. You might end up with a lump on your noggin from bashing your head into the @#%#@ thing though.

Yeah I thought of the noise, but I had already did a fan mod that made the PJ pretty much impossible to hear.

I'll volunteer to follow Ken Whitcomb, Mike Parker, or Terry F. (chuchuf) while they do a complete setup and calibration on a Marquee or a G70/G90. I've got the video camera, editing software, and DVD production (and/or web streaming video) experience.

Well, the smoothness of the High Power will have you loving it when compared against the noticeable screen surface of your current silver screen. And you may lose a *touch* of sharpness.
More important, I hope you realize it will not be any where near as bright as your silver screen!
And your colors will be all out of whack, since the High Power is a white screen as compared with your current silver. So your black level detail & colors will need radical adjustments. You probably already know this, I just wanted to remind you. 
I still say "go for it"!

Sounds like there's room for two products then. I selfishly only care about the Marquee setup. That's awesome Clarence! You build it, I'll buy one. To demonstrate my sincerity and commitment, I'll even pay in advance once you work out what you'll need to get for the product. I do so with no reservations.

My recording and production services will be free. I think it'd be appropriate for the talented calibrators to receive the proceeds.
We'll figure out the duplication, ordering, and distribution process with Kal and Curt when the DVDs are ready.

Super-high-gain screens like this are an area I've thought of applying software overlay filters in. If you've got a screen with super high gain all over, but which hotspots vertically (bright in the middle and darker on top, or inverse like I think somebody said) you can darken the bright bits that way and end up with good uniformity while still having far higher gain than 1.0. Does anybody have any screenshots of full shite... err, white (that was an honest typo.. I'm totally serious, it was; you have to believe me) output?
(Somebody mentioned contrast modulation on the avs board; I'm not sure if contrast modulation boards will do 'non-circular' adjustments or not. If not they're going to be pretty limited for stuff like this, I'd think)
