Greetings to all. Well, It looks like I'm ready to purchase the PlayStation 3 system and would really appreciate anyone's feedback as to what the best way to get it hooked up to my marquee 8500 would be. Of course economics is, as always, a factor yet I don't want to be producing a nasty picture either (simple helps also since I'm not very technically inclined). Thanx Much in anticipation of your replies Smile

Buy a HDFury from this site.

Buy a HDMI to DVI cable. (I got mine from Monoprice)

Done.

If I were you, I'd quit asking for more opinions here and go read the HDfury User Review thread!!! Wink

Look at some of the other posts in the forum, too... Like all things DVI or HDMI with HDCP encryption, there are some issues with certain sources and displays, resolutions, switching receivers, etc. You'll probably be just fine if you're only using a PS3 and your projector, though.

I've read enough good reviews that I'm going to buy one pretty soon.

Tom I don't know what you mean.

But maybe you don't know what I mean, as I didn't make myself clear. My comment is in response to this thread's title. If the title is a quote from what I think it is, then the OP will completely understand my post.

In the mean time Tom, "Please just stop." Wink

Nice, guys. Nice. How about answering the poster's question for a change rather than sniping at each other?

Anyway...HDFURY. Its reviews are excellent, its cost is reasonable, and it's the simplest GOOD way going to get
HD into your Marquee or other CRT projector.

These units are being used in some of the best home theaters in the world....PROUDLY being used there. That says a lot!
