Something is wrong with me!
Two nights ago I dreamt that someone stole my ipod, and last night I had this horribly vivid dream where I was transporting my G90 in a truck somewhere, for some reason, and it got HORRIBLY smashed up. It was like exploded, or ripped in half somehow. In both dreams I woke up all sad, having accepted the loss already. And then hours later I snapped out of it realizing that it never happened. What's next? My damn house?
This is so odd because I never remember my dreams.
Someone please feel free to analyze these dreams and tell me what it means. I reserve the right to not believe it Wink

Weird. I've been having a bunch of fear and loss dreams lately, too - and I've been remembering them, which is atypical. I know why I've been remembering them - it's because my sleep schedule is all dicked up because the wife and I are up at all hours with a new baby at home. As for the fear/loss dream content... Who's a hack psychologist amongst us that explain what that's all about?

Usually I've found that you'll only have those dreams about things you worry about. So basically all it means is that your brain is acting out a screenplay of something that you're afraid of - stolen Ipod, broken G90. Hence the commonly referenced "naked at school/work" dream - it's something we're all afraid of, who wouldn't worry about showing up to a client meeting with no pants? Wink

Also, as SC alludes to, you may never remember your dreams if you're allowed to wake up naturally. But if someone/something disturbs you in heavy REM sleep, you'll remember it vividly.

I don't know... it kind of depends on who the client is, doesn't it? Or, say... what she looks like! Very Happy

I will have a wack at this one Very Happy Twisted Evil
these are classic loss dreams, sometimes we transfer the the object of focus from something with fear losing to something we recently or overly enamoured of.... for example a typical interpretation of the loss of "your music" would be the sense that you have loss control of some aspect of your life or are not being heard or listened to on some subject that is important to you but you are unable to change.
the loss of your G90 is quite different.... most people would see this as a clearly Freudian "male loss" dream the loss or destruction of your "big 9" machine, the destruction of your "ultimate toy" ,loss of power,control,etc...clearly you are insecure, some might even think you paranoid!! this however is not without reason, people are out to get you,,to try to take away your toy, I as well as most forum members would gladly creep into your house in the dark of night to rob you of this treasure.
My considered advice to you, drink more..., especially before bed.Tell people how you really feel,if you have not told someone to F-off today- you are not trying hard enough!!exercise more, take up a sport that causes bruises,so you can focus on your physical pain instead of emotions, be a man for god sake and stop staring at your belly-button.

hope this helps Twisted Evil

Tsk..Tsk...Tsk..... If you have to ask you probably do not really mean it Wink

seriously though,(yeah right...) Mark it really does sound like stress, often it is not the "extra" or extraordinary stress that cause problems, but the loss of balance or time spent doing the things that help you to de-stress.

These are both dreams about loss. It seems that your subconscious is afraid that you are losing or going to lose something important.....

so, lie down and tell me why you hate your mother...... Wink

Thanks guys. Interesting stuff. I thought for sure I was setting myself up for the inevitable "That dream means you're gay."

Also, I realize that this should have been in the "Off Topic" forum, but I actually forgot that there were other forums here. This is the only one that I frequent. Kal, please feel free to move it.

Your iPod has an inferiority complex and is surrepticiously encoding subliminal messages of jealousy in the data stream. It wants you to get rid of the larger love in your life and have you all for it's own.
I suggest you ship that G90 to me just as fast as you can man before your wife uses the iPod and it programs her to want her own 9" tube to covet. QUICK! Ship it to me while there's still time to save your sanity and your marriage!

That'll be $150.00. Now get off my couch. GW is coming in to discuss his dreams about Hillary Wink

Just get that Ampro out of your house and everything will be fine. Also if you start dreaming that you're spending excessive amounts of time in the chat room here, that apparently means that you are gay. (Sorry all I could come up with was B-material.) Smile

I find the exact opposite. IF I can wake up naturally without a start ( like the alarm clock of jackhammer outside ) I can remember my dreams. If I am jared awake I don't remember a damnned thing.

There are no moderators here, remember?

And yes, it bothers me too, that there is an "off topic" forum, but many choose to post off-topic here instead.

And to be truthful, Curt is as much an offender of that as anyone . . .

But it's bettter here than "over there"

My 2 cents
