I've noticed that on black screens the red tube is casting a solid lit area. I've noticed it on the tube when a picture is shown where a good half of the tube has almost a backlit solid red color on a completely black screen.

Attached are two pictures of the red tube. The little light is the pause indicator the opposite of that is the solid red I was talking about on a completely black screen.

So nobody has any idea on what is causing this? I've done searches on this forum and I'm not finding anything.

After doing some reading on the other A site, I came across a post by KennyG that explains what the problem is. I just added an HD Fury to my setup from a blu ray player. When I did that the problems started with the back lit red. Looks like I need to investigate this with the makers of the HD fury.

There is nothing in the HDFury that could cause this.

Mark, the pic is of the red tube (obivously), the picture being projected is an all back screen. Under that condition the red should be fairly to almost completely dim, that is happening on half the tube. The other half is lit up. The picture is my best attempt to try and capture the event through the red tubes lense.,

Does the problem appear if the HDfury is taken out of the signal chain

Patrick12,
Im a bit confused by the picture but what happens if you take the Fury out of the signal chain or swap the red cable with the blue.

On the new HDFury signal entry hit the kelvin button on the remote and see if it goes away. If it does store - enter. Doug
