DVDO has finally went and entered into the true high-end market with their new scaler, I have had the pleasure of using this unit for a little while now and I can't say much due to NDA agreements as a beta tester, but this thing is going to kick some serious butt including dual HD-SDI inputs and tons of features like NR, ISF certification and more Thumbs Up

Great! HD-SDI! Now if only HD-SDI modified players were available and at a reasonable price, and I had a spare $3,500 to blow. And this thing included a blending option with dual scalers (fat chance for this).

very soon dude and yes I will have specials for you guys Thumbs Up

HD-SDI from a BD/HD player and high-end RGBHV output from this unit will be totally mind blowing, if I can get all my sources over to SDI, I will possibly go back to my old friend, my RGBHV and use HDMI for audio only

I have inquired with Kal about the VP50pro and a possible small powerbuy for a totally amazing unadvertised price that will murder the 3500$ MSRP, I don't want to step on Curts toes in anyway so it will be up to him and Kal, I would be more than happy to do so if they are interested

because that is the exact visible resolution(no bars) of a 2.40:1 HD/BD source

1920 divided by 2.40, there is no need for 1080p with scope HD sources because there is only that much picture there

so no scaling or anything Thumbs Up

Awwww and here I sit with my HD-DVD player finaly working on my PC. That movie will look stunning. Maybe it's time I got a blue ray burner for playing the disks. Naw it's still car season. Have to wait 'till it snows.

Thanks Gary for letting me sneak in under the wire yesterday.

The insurance claim from my storm damaged TAW Rock was enough to cover my VP 50Pro & my DVX-8022.
Talk about an upgrade!!
