umm
for a 'normal' CRT projector go for a 1.3 - 1.5 gain screen.

you can find some good info on this site on how to build (or have built) your own "d.i.y." laminate screen.Made with relatively inexpensive high pressure laminate,this screen is far better for CRT projector use than an old glass bead type screen.
