I'm looking to build my own screen. So far I have decided to buy a 4x8 sheet of Designer White and use 1x2'' pieces of wood as the frame to create a 96'' 16x9 screen. Now I'm just stuck on what to use as the black border. I noticed the diy screen on this website mentions gaffers tape. I have also seen some suggestions for velveteen/velvet, felt, and duvetyne. Since I haven't heard of most of these and haven't seen any in person which would be my best option? Also, if someone has any extra of these and won't use it I could buy some.

You know that with a 4x8 sheet you cant have a 96" wide screen in 16:9, would need to get a 5x8 sheet. With a 4x8 you get something like 87" in width because thats what 48 inches high gives you. As for the other question I think wrapping them in some velvet or others seem to really like that velveteen tape

Sorry I measure my screen by diagonal. So it would be 84x47'' (wxh).
Where can I find velveteen tape?
