Hello -

New to CRT projection, but mostly electronics savvy with test tools and direct view CRT experience. Got this DWIN500 and it looks nearly brand new. I see no burn in or other damage.

When it turns on (i've tried multiple sync sources and the menu command) only the heaters fire up. I don't see any presence of high voltage (static, etc.) but I do hear the whine, though it sounds strained. Interestingly, if I change the sync, the whine does change also.

I've never seen the tubes light up or throw anything or try. It seems the HV connections were loose when I checked the power supply and I saw no arching, so wondering if it shorted out the supply if something fell out to chassis etc.

Anyone have a power supply or thoughts? If not, anyone need tubes or parts near cleveland, OH?

I'm just looking to get a cleaner image on laserdisc, so not married to this projector, though the size and silence would be ideal. Anyone got a power supply ? I understand these had good and bad ones out there.

Thanks!

Mike
