OK, so i went and listened to the monolith sub. As I said I liked it very much. I noticed none of his speakers showed any
kind of brand that I could see. I had limited time and he was being nice just to demo the sub for me so I didnt ask a lot of
questions. The one thing I noticed that I have never seen before is he had 2 identical centers . They were about 2 feet long
had 2 6 inch woofers a 2 inch mid and a 1 inch tweeter. They were on what appeared to be a custom made stand with about a 1 inch gap between the two speakers. Sitting side by side. It sounded great. It was in a very large room. There was no amps or kit in plain sight andhe ran all of it off a single remote. So I have no idea what kind of equipment he was running and didnt ask.

I guess what I want to know is why have I never seen this before ? Does running 2 centers cause some kind of inherent
problem ? Or is it just unnecessary in most set ups ?

Any logical explanation would be appreciated.
