Hello,
Yesterday, I started my BG 1209s and all the convergences were off. I tried to adjust them but only the middle square works. Same issue with the geometry almost nothing can be adjusted through the remote control. Obviously, at least one board has to be changed or reset, but which one? Thanks for your help.

Check the fuses on the power supply board. From my memory, the outer zones are fed by two power supplies on the SMPS. If one fuse fails, then only the middle square will work.

Hi Curt,
Thanks for the quick reply. I managed to get another SMPS board, but unfortunaltely, the issue is still there. Any other ideas?
Thanks

My 2 cents would be its the Convergence driver.
If by chance thats not it then swap out the convergence output (amplifier) board.

Although I don't have 1209S, if their design structure is the same, I believe there is a problem with the lowest level convergence board of the machine, either the resistance is burnt out or there is corrosion on the circuit board. Please check it

The geometry and the convergence are completely off on the right side. The middle part is ok. The left side is a bit off.
I know the convergence driver board but what is the convergence output board? Is it the Focus H shift board or Vertical board?
Thanks

If you know the driver board then the output board is directly behind it in the convergence tray.

Hi,
It has been a very long time since I pulled out a convergence tray and it was on a 808. If I remember correctly I need to remove some boards to access the handles. Can someone remember which ones, please? Thanks

There nothing to remove. The handles for the tray are on the front of the projector. The drawer slides out the front. The tray has the driver, output and astig boards.

I plugged my spare convergence tray, but now I have a message saying that I have a "short-cut BUS I2C".

I changed the convergence output board and the problem is now fixed: I can adjust geometry and converges again! Thanks!
