Oldie is right, but "Goodie"? Not sure about that.

$155 CAD is way too much too. Should be $0. Wink

I'd love to have it just for the 80's aesthetic but too many already. Plus I have an ECP4500 with ACON

I have never seen one of these working. How do they look? Better than a ECP3100? Figure it could not be that great or they would of made more of these.

See: http://www.curtpalme.com/Projector_Rankings.shtm

ECP2000: 7" tubes, 725 lumens, 540p max resolution, 30 Mhz bandwidth
ECP3100: 7" tubes, 600 lumens, 1280x1024 max resolution, 50 Mhz bandwidth

Kal. With all respect I do not think it is this simple to compare a ECP2000 to a normal 3 lense FP-CRT . The lenses system is different from all other projectors and it has that prism/matrix that adds to the light path. I bet no one has seen a good condition one of these in action since the early 1990's. The specs I agree are what they are but I bet due to the prism and lenses it looks different. The prism I bet also yellowed and/or the liquid coupling has not aged well in these. Has anyone actually seen one of these working? I have seen a few of these on the broken pile at work back in the day but I never got one working to see. I got the impression that it was rare and did not take off for a reason. That reason was either cost or performance or both.

You're absolutely right - the tech is definitely different. Given the age, who knows how it would look. Then again, even an ECP 3100 would be crazy old by now. Wink

I would love to see this used in a video as a space ship. My inner child is showing through Mr. Green

Guys

40% light loss in dichroic mirror assembly. And a screaming nightmare trying to change a picture tube. Been there......
