|
|
Throwing it out there to see if anyone is interested. I am testing the last of my tubes and boards this long weekend for the Barco 909. I've sold all my working projectors now, and have one parts unit left that is semi complete with no 100% working controller board (but the chassis fires up), and it's missing two CRT socket/video amps. It would make for a great test chassis to check boards in.
I also have one hard copy of the original Barco service manual (not a photocopy), and the super hard to find BArco extender cards, including the large one that brings the controller/focus/convergence/astig cards out from under the tubes/lenses.
I would be willing to sell the chassis, extender cards and manual shortly, once I finish testing the last of my parts, and ideally to sell the lot to one person, that could then carry the torch forward, repairing 909 boards. I have one client that has first dibs, but if he's not interested, it's open for discussion.
I also have a bunch of known nonworking boards, likely one or two of every board in the set, and about 15 bad CRT video neck boards, that should all go together.
Shipping would have to be done on a pallet (or two), especially overseas to Europe or Australia, as there's no way it can go via post.
So, express your interest here. I will be getting to tubes first thing in the AM (Good Friday), and will post links to the tubes that I will list on eBay according to grade and tube color (with pix of the phosphor, etc).
Working boards will also be listed on eBay, with discounts given to purchases outside of eBay as well.
I have VERY select few of Barco 808/1208/1209/1209s boards as well, but no longer have any chassis to test them in, so those will be sold dirt cheap, as is. Everything outside of Barco is gone, although the raw 9" tubes will work in G90s and other 9" sets.
There's misc. other stuff, such as a couple of spare extender cards, etc, Barco 909 remotes, etc.
Also, two, or maybe three Moome Barco internal HDMI boards (the ones with 4 inputs)
Stay tuned here for more info!

Your post makes me sad Curt . I guess this is finally the end of an era with you doing CRT stuff. It makes sense as your audio stuff takes up all of your time now.
I will probably be in for one of those Barco 4 port HDMI cards. Maybe some tubes too depending on what you have. My units (1 x 909 and 2 x DTV-1200) are all still working so I've already got plenty of spare cards moving forward.

That green one above is sold, and as expected, I received several emails about green tubes. Let me run through more greens to make those that emailed me happy campers, then any not sold, I'll list on eBay.
I've given myself a deadline of July 31 to get everything CRT related out of the house, I need the room!
