I have a little problem with my split pack setup. It just started doing this tonight so I don't know if it will continue or get worse.

When watching a movie it loses convergence for a split second and then goes back. Almost like an electrical surge went though it. It is doing it randomly. Maybe every other minute of so. Confused Does this sound familiar to anyone?

I am going to power it down for a while then see if it happens again when I restart it.

Mostly, sudden changes in focus or convergence have to do with HV. The suspects could be splitter, quadrupler or EHT. I would try to change the splitter, firstly.

I will start by checking the input chain.

Never seen that before. Do you hear any HV arcing? Could be a bad controller board too. Try changing resolutions and do a really rough setup. See if that speeds it up or slows it down, or not.

Not hearing any arcing. It's also random it seems. Not any pattern to it. I will switch my DVDO output to 720p and see what that does.
