|
|
UPDATE: >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Business has been good. VERY good. Response has been better than I could have hoped, and as a result, available quantities of SOME parts are getting a bit low already.
The first part I'll run out of is the lower lens box cover strip, which is the smallest cover piece on a Marquee. (Where the ACON camera connector mounts.) But it's also the part you are least likely to need to replace.
I have about a dozen left.
I've had no buyers yet for any parts in metallic silver or in white, but I have a lot of stock in those colors so I will be having the majority of those parts repainted professionally in the exact same Sherwin-Williams Carbon Black satin Polane finish that the black sets are in now, at my expense. This MAY require me to boost the prices of black sets SLIGHTLY to cover the expense of getting them repainted.
If you want silver or white sets, contact me NOW so I can set some aside for you. Also, I am REDUCING THE PRICE for silver or white sets by 10 dollars, from 100 dollars to 90 plus shipping.
Shipping within the US is 10 dollars for FedEx ground service.
Even then, quantities are limited. If you're looking for a set of covers or even individual sheet metal covers to replace damaged or missing covers for your Marquee, I suggest you contact me very soon.
Missing a lens box lid? I've got 'em! I've got every part!
Want to update your Marquee to the current cosmetics? Get rid of your foot covers in perforated aluminum and buy a set in horizontally ribbed plastic. Available in silver or black, and very easy to repaint with Krylon. (Not Rust-oleum...it sucks.)
I've been able to ship cover sets out within one day so far. I've got a
pretty smooth processing system. So don't wait if you want covers!
END OF UPDATE>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
As of today I am now in possession of a considerable inventory of all NEW Marquee skins. I have top main covers, top front (lens) covers, power supply bay front and side cover sets, and rear heatsink covers.
I have full sets of ALL covers for Marquees except for the plastic main side covers.
I have them in black, in off-white, and in metallic silver. (The silver was used in the Madrigal MP-9 version.)
They are all NEW, still packed in the original sheet metal manufacturer's protective foam padding and, where applicable, have the protective plastic film stuck over the paintwork.
I also have lens foam pieces, for 9" tubes, and they can be recut by
you using a lens body as a guide if you need them sized for the larger
diameter 8" HD-8 lenses.
I'm still going through all that I got. It's about two pickup truckloads full,
and of course, I want to sell it.
I'll give an inventory and post photos later once I get my camera back and have gone through the whole pile.
These sets will be priced to sell. I want to move them out FAST.
I also have a smaller quantity of covers that are cosmetically imperfect and will sell for even less than the already low cost of the fresh new parts, but are ideal candidates for if you want to do your own custom paintwork.
If your Marquee covers are dented and scratched, now is your best chance ever to replace them all with fresh, brand new factory covers in perfect, unused condition.
Pricing will be determined in the next few days. Watch for it.
Also, if you're interested in these and want to talk to me about them, send me an email directly to cmjohnson@cfl.rr.com
Thanks,
Chris

I will be offering these via ebay for 100 dollars per set at the Buy It Now price, and will sell sets to anyone for that price. I think that's very fair considering that all the parts are brand new and still in the protective wraps.
I definitely have full matched sets in black. I'll know what other colors I have full matched sets in after I get the rest of the load tomorrow.
The Madrigal metallic silver is pretty nice.

Where are you located? I am possibly going to be in need of a Red CRT for a 9501 Ultra/Vision One.

I'm located in Florida, Melbourne area. I'm only about 20 miles south of VDC's Marquee factory. It's convenient!
I've got a really good red available NOW. Check the pics I posted on my photobucket account and make an offer if you like what you see, keeping in mind that reds seem to be least sensitive to minor wear issues. Wear that you'd see on a green would often never been seen on the screen if it's a red tube.

DAYUM!!!! I realize this is a world accessible forum and there are cultural considerations...but lighten up. I personally don't want to read your immature (GOD I hope you're just immature) rantings.
Continue to send him PM's....and he's listed his personal email address all over this thread.... go apeshit on him there and keep it off here.
I'm not going to defend or criticize Chris as I don't know him personally and consider that irrelevant. Speaking for myself, I personally see no justification to act like a complete psychopath in public.
You embarass not only yourself but this forum with your unprofessional behavior. We have new visitors coming here every day and the last thing we need them to leave with is thinking we're all like you. This forum isn't just a freebie place to hang out...it's here because of our host's BUSINESS! He depends on not just existing members purchases and referrals, but new visitors to the site. When that ceases to happen, this forum ceases to exist.
Talk of raping mothers and DAUGHTERS (BTW..try spell check when you rant...correctly spelled words carry more weight) and wishing someones relatives dead in horrible ways is NOT cool. Kill the innocent eh? Just what country ARE you from? Can I guess?
I don't know who you are and don't care to. As somebody who has lost both a son and daughter...I don't appreciate the choice of words in your negotiating stlye (or lack thereof).
Work it out with him like a rational, civilized human being. If you DO end up getting screwed out of your investment, which I honestly hope you don't, suck it up and move on. It happens to the best of us occassionally.

I'm going to delete the part about the raping bit. That's not required and uncalled for. It will still appear in the quotes.
I can understand that you're pissed, but do be a bit more mature about it, you're making yourself look like a fool as well.

Yep, that's the village all right. I am the " Josef Mengele " of video projectors, performing inhuman experiments on captured AmPro projectors. I have two 4600HD's hanging, doing the dirty and spawned a 3600HD. I have them doing something that is quite rare. They are working flawlessly. All of them
