I have spent many hours on CPC setup and still not happy. I thought to myself surely this isn't what they did when building a projector at the factory due to the time it takes to really get it right.

Does anyone know how this would have been done at Barco, Sony or Electrohome?

Not very fussily.

I have toured the Electrohome factory on three different occasions---they had college students slamming projectors together for $7 an hour LOL.

Why you ask? Because no matter where you take the finished projector, it has to be redone anyway for the local terrestrial magnetics.

Yup. Even turn the projector 90 degrees and you’ll have to redo the magnetica a bit (depending how fussy you are).

My RPTV wouldn't align 2 feet infront of where it was. Earths magnetic field was too strong there I guess.

More likely a power line in the floor or something similar. Earth's field doesn't vary that sharply without help.

Yeah i get it cpc has to be redone if someone farts in another country but thats the point it takes hours to get right and I couldn't see that much time being spent in any factory so I was wondering if there was a method that would produce great results quickly.

No. Otherwise everyone would do that. They're probably set to somewhat "center" or default positions at the factory in case the installer doesn't touch them. That way they're most likely to be 'reasonably good' for everyone.
