Hi All

I picked up a Sony 1292 a few weeks ago. While setting it up I couldn't get the colors on it to look anywhere close to good, the image always had too much green in it, even with the green turned all the way down in the menus.

Some things i have found pointed to using changing a setting related to how the unit syncs to the signal and forcing it to use sync on green but that did not seem to work

Is there any other settings i should look at and if not where would you suggest starting to look inside the unit for a problem

Could you take a picture how the green background looks like, it could help determining whether component failure is suspected or setup problem.
Also it may worth your time to watch Graham Johnson setting up a Sony 1292.

TV/Projector: All of them!

Look at the internal test patterns first. ARe they tinted green? If so, there's something wrong, or out of whack with the internals of the set. If the test patterns are fine, then I'd suspect an issue with the RGB input board, or something with your source.

Thanks for the tips so far

I took some pictures of the image it is putting out right now

They are not the best pictures but as the one picture shows even with the bias which i think is brightness turned all the way down the image still looks very green.
