Hi
I posted this on another forum but I'm still not sure if I should pickk up the massive projectors or not so I thought I'd seek more info. Still not entirely sure of the specs of this projector.
What does the G mean on the end of XG-1350?
I can have two for free, not sure on the condition yet but I don't know if it's worth getting. Wouldn't mind fixing it up or making one good one from two if possible.
I've wanted one for a while now. Can it produce a nice 1080p picture?
Thanks!

Good sets, but you will need a scaler to shrink the width of the image, as the XGs have image wraparound at 1080p. It's a quirk in their design. Tubes are more or less unavailable now, but if there is light wear on one or both sets, you'll be fine. Heck, they are free, so if nothing else, grab them, and practice setting up a CRT!

The G at the end of the model number means it is supposed to work with 200-240V mains voltage.
They can be used at 1080P but depending on your source capabilities there might be better suiting resolutions for the projector.
