Just curious if Barco 808 magnetics can be use for 909 tubes?

909 has 6 pole electronic astig 808 has 4 pole so providing the coils are the same you would need to make changes to wiring and of course lose part of the control system that makes the 909 so sharp.

I am assuming you wanted to put 808 magnetics in a 909 projector. On the other hand if you want to put 909 tubes in an 808 chassis then no problem.

I have someone here in Singapore that wanted to give away his non working 808 but not too sure any component that I can salvage or use for my Vision 1.

Or maybe any useful component that can be use to improve G70 for my local friend here. Any advise would be great before we dispose the non working 808.

Except the CPC magnets I don't believe there are any common parts for those projectors. Someone else may be able to definitively tell you about tube compatibility.

It seems that it's of no use for G70 or 9" Marquee. Likely going to the thrash.
