|

Hi all,
I am an enthusiast in color management and calibration. I found over internet and on this forum that people use i1 pro and i1d3 in non-contact modes, but I didn't find any detailed information on non-contact metering setup(distance, angle etc.).
So far I only used meters in "contact" mode directly on the screen(mainly LCD LED/CCFL PC displays), and now I plan to play with few old Sony and Panasonic CRTs and a Samsung LCD LED.
Can somebody shed some light about non-contact metering or point me to a source of information?
Thank you in advance.

Thank you on warm welcome,
I have read the whole guide and did a bit more search on the forum.
I found that this thread is also very informative https://www.curtpalme.com/forum_archived/viewtopic.php@t=34923.html
With all that, I believe that if I am to use my meters in non-contact mode for the CRT and LED tvs I plan to play with, I should point them to centre and put them where the Y value will be highest when reading a, let's say, white patch.
Am I correct? Or am I still not understanding.
